Sapta has more than 42 years of experience in various industries such as manufacturing, timber, mining, and oil & gas industry, involved in several different areas such as production planning, production operations, contracting, project control, human resource management, and knowledge management.
As HR Corporate Vice President, he initiated and directly involved in developing end-to-end Knowledge Management for Medco Energy, the biggest private-owned oil & gas company in Indonesia. Since 2010 he has run his own business as HR and KM Consultant, involved in several HR and KM consulting and training services for mining, oil & gas, and banking companies.
Sapta for the last 6 years has done many KM training and consulting activities such as KM Masterclass (7 batches), COP Masterclass (2 batches), Knowledge Capture Masterclass (3 batches), KM Assessment, Taxonomy Workshop, KM Strategy and Roadmap, KM Processes, KM Governance, and KM Application Development. His clients consist of companies from various industry and government institutions, from oil & gas, mining, construction, manufacturing, insurance, port operation, aluminum smelter, transportation, pharmacy, banking, public services, to NGOs.
Sapta is an industrial engineer from ITB Bandung, Indonesia and has a master’s degree in HR Management from Rutgers University New Jersey, USA. Previously acted as the President of Indonesian Society for People Management as well as Asia Pacific Regional Training & Development Association (ARTDO International). He is also the KM Expert for Asia Productivity Organization.
